Micro Home Care Agency is founded on the human resources motivational theory of self-determination – for both the person with an intellectual disability and his or her caregivers. The self-determination theory indicates that if a person with a disability is allowed to participate in how they are supported they will be super energized and achieve a better life. As well, caregivers will have input into how they perform their job duties making the job more enjoyable. The company name, “Micro Home Care Agency”, indicates each person supported has their own micro agency where the agency structure is personalized for one person and for that one person’s staff. Shifts are either agreed to in advance and repeat each week or staff can opt to be in our caregiver pool where they can select from available shifts each week.
Employees like that they can select the time and day they will work each week and their schedule is consistent or employees can be in our pool and select from shifts that are available each week.
